The Class Conference
November 04, 2026 / November 05, 2026
Amsterdam - Netherlands
Location: Het Sieraad
The Class Conference 2026 is Europe’s leading student living and student housing event, bringing together investors, operators, universities, developers, policymakers, and technology partners to discuss the future of living, sustainability, and university-city ecosystems. Taking place in Amsterdam on 4-5 November 2026, the event focuses on innovation, operational excellence, and collaborative solutions for the evolving student living sector.
As Sustainability Sponsor, Salto Systems will showcase how innovation in access technology contributes to smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable living environments. At our stand, attendees will discover our vision of transforming access from a traditional security function into a platform for digital identity, operational intelligence, and smart resource management.
Key innovations on display will include:
XS4 Sense, which connects occupancy, access, and building operations to help operators optimize energy consumption, improve efficiency, and support sustainability objectives.
A highlight of our participation will be the keynote “How Innovation Happens Inside a 6,000-Year-Old Industry: Lessons from 26 Years of Reinventing Access”, presented by Salto co-founder and technology leader Marc Handels. The session will explore how continuous innovation, rather than sustainability alone, drives smarter, more efficient, and ultimately more sustainable outcomes. Through real-world examples such as Keo and XS4 Sense, attendees will gain insight into how long-established industries can be successfully reinvented through technology and bold thinking.
This combination of thought leadership, live innovation showcases, and practical sustainability applications will provide attendees with a unique perspective on the future of access, building intelligence, and operational efficiency.
