Tayko Hotel

Tayko hotels are located in unique, renovated buildings that project the essence of the city and place a strong emphasis on sustainability.

The Seville hotel project sought smart access hospitality technology that would provide guests with a unique experience and, at the same time, facilitate the daily tasks of reception, cleaning, maintenance, and restaurant staff. It was necessary to establish a reliable, easy-to-use, fluid, and totally secure system. In addition, it was important to find a minimalist, elegant style of lock that was perfectly integrated with the building and its classic architecture, which makes it a unique accommodation in Seville.

Mariel Pérez, COO and CMO of Tayko Hotels Group, explains the objectives of the project: “Our intention was that guests could enjoy a pleasant and relaxed stay right from the start. We wanted them, when they arrived at the hotel, to be greeted by the reception team and to be able to check-in in a very personal, yet simple way. That's why we thought it would be good if, upon registration, they received a link on their smartphone that would give them access to the entire digital experience without the hassle of having to download an application to their mobile phone.”

The Tayko team contacted Salto to provide the hotel with a secure, designed access control system at their hotel in Seville. They needed a solution that would allow them to offer a unique experience to users and facilitate the daily work of their teams. They were looking for a system that was simple and easy to use, without the need for mechanical keys or mobile applications, while using the most advanced technology on the market.

With the collaboration of ARCON, a certified Salto partner, Tayko installed Salto Space, a web-based management system that allows you to control and manage a large number of doors in any building in an efficient and reliable manner.

As explained by Nora Urquiza, Salto's Global Hospitality Solutions Lead, Salto solutions respond to one of the most urgent needs in the hotel industry today: “One of the most important challenges in the hotel industry is the protection of individuals and hotel assets through comprehensive solutions that simplify accessibility and offer a unified management system, digital keys, and intelligent rooms and locks. Salto offers hotel owners and operators around the world new ways to connect and protect guests and staff. Its innovative solutions improve the user experience, make it easier for workers, and protect property assets.”

In order to offer maximum comfort to hotel guests, Salto collaborated with the technology company FLEXIPASS, which specialises in keyless door opening solutions for the hospitality industry. 

“Now, guests can access their room with a single click and easily book hotel services and facilities,” explains Mariel Pérez.

As for the selected products, the Ælement Fusion electronic lock was chosen for installation in all rooms of the hotel. This solution has an elegant reader, accented by an interactive ring that lights up when access credentials are presented. Its minimalist design blends perfectly with the decor of any hotel. The utmost care was also taken for the details of the handles, for which a luxurious and perfectly finished line was chosen from Colombo Design, a Salto partner.

In the common areas, the XS4 One smart electronic lock was placed, designed to be integrated into all types of doors and access points and thus enable their modernisation. This lock is an elegant and technologically advanced solution that completes any design style or interior decoration.

In combination with these solutions, gateways and nodes were also installed, serving as a link between the PC or server where the database is hosted and the Salto BLUEnet wireless network. The gateways, managed through Salto Space, allow you to connect easily and securely to all wireless access points to manage and monitor the status of each room. This is done in real time and without the need for cables or complex installations. 

The last element of this comprehensive security solution were the wall readers installed in the lift and outside the hotel, which allow other key spaces to be controlled.
