BubblyNet

BubblyNet provides open Bluetooth Mesh software and hardware for smart building automation, lighting, HVAC, air quality, shading, sound masking, and energy management integrated with Salto.

Technology platforms compatibility

BubblyNet develops intelligent building solutions based on an open, distributed Bluetooth® Mesh architecture. Its software and hardware connect lighting, HVAC, shading, air quality, sound masking, and energy management in a unified automation environment, without requiring centralized control panels, extensive control wiring, or proprietary gateways.

The integration connects Salto Space’s Event Stream API with BubblyNet EdgeCore through MQTT messaging protocol. EdgeCore receives access events from Salto Space and combines them with occupancy information, schedules, environmental sensor data, and automation logic. Commands are then distributed locally through the Bluetooth® Mesh network, allowing access activity to initiate relevant building responses.

By combining Salto’s access control technology with BubblyNet’s distributed automation platform, access events can activate lighting scenes, HVAC operation, shading, room occupancy modes, energy-saving strategies, and security workflows. The result is an open and scalable smart building solution that simplifies deployment, supports operational efficiency, and extends the value of access control beyond security.

features

The integration between BubblyNet and Salto Space turns access activity into actionable building intelligence. Designed for commercial buildings, hospitality environments, workplaces, and multi-site deployments, the solution connects access control with building automation to create responsive spaces while reducing infrastructure requirements and system complexity.

  • Occupancy-based automation: Salto access events can automatically activate lighting, HVAC, shading, and predefined room modes when occupants arrive. When spaces become vacant, connected systems can return to energy-saving operation, helping improve occupant comfort while reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
  • Distributed Bluetooth® Mesh control: Building automation operates through a decentralized Bluetooth® Mesh architecture without centralized lighting control panels. This approach reduces infrastructure requirements and supports lower installation costs, easier renovations, greater reliability, and scalable deployment.
  • Open integration platform: Native support for MQTT, BACnet/IP, DALI, REST APIs, and third-party building systems allows the solution to connect with existing infrastructure. This open approach helps organizations protect their technology investments and avoid dependency on a single proprietary ecosystem.
  • Local edge intelligence: Automation is executed locally through BubblyNet EdgeCore, allowing building systems to continue operating during an internet outage. Local processing supports faster responses, increased reliability, and enhanced cybersecurity for essential building functions.
  • Flexible building applications: The platform supports guest rooms, offices, meeting spaces, common areas, amenities, and multi-site enterprise deployments. This gives organizations one automation platform for diverse building environments, with a consistent user experience and centralized management.
