SBB has expanded its offer for the use of the SwissPass card in cooperation with SALTO Systems. Thanks to this cooperation, hotel guests in Switzerland will in future be able to use the SwissPass as a keycard for access to their hotel room.
The SwissPass card can be used for a variety of services such as Mobility Carsharing, PubliBike (a bicycle rental system throughout Switzerland), SchweizMobil, as a ski pass in many ski resorts, event ticket and means of payment. A brand-new feature is that it can also be used as a credential for hotel rooms.
With the purchase of the SwissPass Card Generator from SALTO, hosts have the opportunity to offer a unique service to the four million SwissPass customers. Because the SwissPass now also serves as a key card for parking, main and side entrances and, last but not least, guest rooms in hotels.
Thanks to the cooperation between SBB and SALTO Systems AG, hosts receive exclusive added value: the SwissPass is more than just a public transport subscription. It currently offers hotel guests access to over 70 partner services. This now also includes SALTO access control systems.
