#WorldEnvironmentDay 2026 focuses on the urgent signals our Earth is sending—and, more importantly, the signals we choose to send back. This year, the UNEP’s global campaign calls on every one of us to step in #NowForClimate to steer a world already in motion.

- 100% renewable energy: Today, all Salto industrial plants and locations operate using electricity from renewable sources.
- Decarbonizing operations: Our roadmap includes group-wide climate policies that prioritize efficiency and low-carbon technology to ensure a net-zero operational reality.
- Smarter logistics: By optimizing our operations and promoting sustainable mobility for our employees—including EV charging stations, the electrification of our fleet, and car-sharing initiatives—we are striving to reduce emissions across our daily global operations.
Designing for a circular future (SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production)
World Environment Day reminds us that the "take-make-waste" model is no longer viable. Salto embraces the principles of eco-design and the circular economy to ensure our technology respects the Earth’s resources.
- Modular hardware: Our design philosophy prioritizes durability and repairability, allowing for an extended product lifecycle that reduces the need for constant replacement.

Circular business models: We are strategically implementing models that minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency at every stage of the product life cycle. Launched in 2025, our Second Life project marks a major milestone: for the first time, we are recovering components from discontinued products and reintroducing them into the production chain, establishing a sustainable, long-term recovery process.

- Environmental transparency and EPDs: We calculate the environmental impact of our products and publish the verified results through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), which have become a key tool for providing environmental transparency, comparability, and credibility in increasingly demanding markets.
- EcoVadis Silver Rating: This recognition places Salto in the top 5% of companies in our sector for sustainability performance.
- Certified B Corporation Journey: We are currently on the roadmap to becoming a Certified B Corp, a distinction that reflects the highest standards of social and environmental transparency.
- ISO Certifications: Our operations are backed by ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, ISO 27001 Information Security Management Standard, and ISO 9001 for Quality Management.
- ESG Strategy and reporting: We continuously measure and publish our progress through comprehensive ESG reporting, aligning our long-term business strategy with planet-positive outcomes.
