Consumers have embraced digital wallets as part of their daily lives, using them to make purchases, store tickets, board flights, and manage important credentials. Increasingly, they expect that same simple and familiar experience to extend beyond transactions and into the places they live, work, learn, and visit.
To help meet this growing demand, Salto and SwiftConnect have partnered to bring Mobile Wallet Credentials to Salto Space deployments across the United States and Canada. Together, the companies are working to deliver a secure, convenient mobile credential experience that will allow users to access doors with their preferred mobile devices while operators continue to manage access through the trusted Salto Space platform.
The planned solution combines Salto's industry-leading electronic access control technology with SwiftConnect's connected access network, creating a seamless access experience for building operators and occupants alike.
Unlocking the keyless experience modern users demand
Whether entering an apartment building, arriving at a hotel, accessing an office, or moving across a university campus, people expect technology that is simple, intuitive, and always available.
Traditional credentials such as keys, cards, and fobs remain important access modalities, but they can be misplaced, forgotten, or require replacement, creating a lockout condition and friction for users. Mobile Wallet Credentials offer an additional option that allows users to access approved spaces using devices they already carry every day.
For property managers, campus administrators, employers, and hospitality operators, the challenge is delivering a modern user experience without disrupting existing access control operations. The planned Salto and SwiftConnect integration is designed to address that challenge by building upon existing Salto Space infrastructure while introducing a familiar mobile credential experience.

Inside the integration
The integration combines the strengths of both platforms.
Salto Space remains the central access control platform, managing users, permissions, and access rights across the property. Salto readers and electronic locks continue to secure doors, amenities, common areas, guestrooms, residential units, and other controlled spaces.
SwiftConnect serves as the mobile wallet credential manager, connecting identity systems with physical access infrastructure and securely provisioning digital credentials to authorized users.

This architecture is designed to allow organizations to introduce Mobile Wallet Credentials without replacing their existing Salto Space workflows, software investments, or compatible Salto hardware.
Designed for every environment
Multifamily Residential
Property operators will be able to provide residents with convenient mobile access across the community. Residents will be able to use Mobile Wallet Credentials to access building entrances, parking areas, elevators, amenity spaces, package rooms, fitness centers, coworking spaces, and their apartment units. Property teams will benefit from streamlined credential management while delivering a premium resident experience.
Hospitality
Hotels and short-term rental operators will be able to deliver a modern digital key experience that streamlines access from check-in through checkout. Guests will be able to receive access credentials directly in their mobile wallet without downloading a dedicated hotel or property app, allowing them to use the wallet application already available on their smartphone or smart watch. From guestrooms and common areas to fitness centers, lounges, and other authorized spaces, guests will enjoy a simple, familiar tap-to-access experience throughout their stay.
Workspace
Employers will be able to provide employees and visitors with frictionless access to office buildings, suites, shared workspaces, conference rooms, and other secured areas. Mobile credentials can help reduce dependency on physical badges while supporting a modern workpspace experience.
Higher Education
Universities and colleges will be able to extend mobile access to students, faculty, and staff for residential buildings, academic facilities, libraries, recreation centers, dining facilities, and other campus locations. Mobile Wallet Credentials can help create a connected campus experience while maintaining security and operational control.
