I see what Salto XS4 Face has done and how it works, and I can’t find fault in it. Now, there is no need for me to carry my plastic swipe card access pass; I use my face for door entry, and it has worked 100% of the time – irrespective of my expression or mood! It has made me think: ‘Why doesn’t everyone do this?
The Tremough Innovation Center already used Salto smart-locking technology through its existing Salto Space access control platform. While the existing Salto smart access platform provided secure, reliable access management, the Center wanted to simplify the day-to-day administration associated with managing physical and digital credentials across multiple locations and improve the user keyless access experience. Staff were responsible for issuing replacement cards when needed and managing credentials as customers joined or left the Center.
Seeking a seamless, future-ready solution that built on its existing Salto investment, the Tremough Innovation Center chose to incorporate Salto XS4 Face, face recognition and biometric technology into its existing Salto Space access control system, allowing users to securely access the facility using their face as their credential.
Having already partnered with Salto for its existing access control system, the Tremough Innovation Center knew it could rely on a solution that aligned with its long-term strategy. Upgrading to Salto XS4 Face with the existing Salto Space system provided a seamless transition, minimizing risk while retrofitting existing access points with wall readers to streamline access management and introduce a more innovative approach to access control. Instead of relying on physical credentials, users simply use their face as their credential.
Since implementing the Salto XS4 Face access control solution, the Tremough Innovation Center has experienced significant improvements in both operational efficiency and user experience. The system has streamlined access management, reducing the administrative workload associated with managing physical credentials while providing a more convenient experience for staff and customers.
XS4 Face has also improved operational efficiency by reducing the need to issue replacement cards and simplifying credential management. The system's ability to provide secure, card-free access has saved both time and money while eliminating issues associated with lost credentials or faulty card readers.
By enabling access control to communal areas, XS4 Face has enhanced facility operations and supported the Center's strategic objective of innovation. Users have responded positively, appreciating the ease of use and added convenience of no longer needing to carry a physical access card.
