Nobu Hotel is a luxury hotel located in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It sits in the central Plaza de Sants, opposite the train station and close to the city’s main tourist attractions and to the sea. The five-star hotel is part of the chain owned by well-known Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert de Niro, and film producer Meir Teper.
It has 259 luxury guest rooms and suites, as well as meeting and event spaces. It also houses the world-famous Kozara Bar, a restaurant with a panoramic view of Barcelona. This idyllic space is the place to taste Nobu classics such as yellowtail sashimi with jalapeños, black cod with miso, or the oxtail tartare with caviar.

In 2019, Nobu Hotel was completely renovated. The task of remodelling the building was given to the prestigious Rockwell Group, an architecture and interior design firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Madrid.
The design brief required Rockwell to create a relaxing urban retreat that reflected the colourful, vibrant character of Barcelona while including natural materials like wood, bamboo, and stone to tie in with the hotel’s Japanese roots.
Efficiency and security were top of mind when it came to smart access solutions. Nobu’s 259 rooms needed to be equipped with electronic locks that would complement the minimalist décor throughout the hotel with unique handle designs for stylish hotel property interiors.
