The Exchange 106

In designing Exchange 106, Mulia Property Development, renowned for their excellence in architectural and operational efficiency, consulted with Resilient Marketing to deliver security for the 106-storey skyscraper in securing the office tower and retail component at the podium levels. Resilient proposed SALTO Systems smart locking platform and software solutions for The Exchange 106 project as they have recommended SALTO since 2008 and they knew SALTO’s innovative products would deliver effective access control that integrates with other systems to provide the most comprehensive security solution.

Resilient Marketing and the Mulia Group chose SALTO XS4 One electronic locks and BLUEnet wireless technology for the more than 500 doors in The Exchange 106 to protect administration areas, security and fire control, communication areas, mechanical, power, housekeeping storage, staircase and escape areas, and executive toilets.

SALTO BLUEnet Wireless has been developed to meet the highest demands related to security and ease. This access control system is networked through Bluetooth RF and is specially designed for doors where real-time control is required. It provides control and management of all access points remotely and in real-time from one or more administrator workstations. Operators can monitor live access control events and give the ability to unlock doors, change opening mode, conduct lockdowns, view live door status monitoring, and change physical access rules in the access plan – in real-time and wirelessly.

The SALTO BLUEnet wireless locks at The Exchange 106 are managed via SALTO SPACE access control management software. More than 500 employees use the system via access cards. Resilient Marketing’s Technical and Marketing Manager Lester Wan said The Exchange 106 Management and Engineering team manages the access control system with ease via SALTO SPACE because it is user friendly and offers great features like real-time event streaming, alarm inputs that allow management to unlock selected doors wirelessly during an emergency, and, with SALTO SVN Flex, they can update their staff access rights right from the lock, taking SALTO data-on-card even further and benefiting of the same secure infrastructure.

Lester added that SALTO’s ability to seamlessly integrate with their CCTV and visitor management platforms makes it a comprehensive solution that boosts overall security and operations. The integration means that events like key rejection or intrusion stream via the CCTV system can be closely monitored. The visitor management integration allows them to conduct building headcount via SALTO event streaming and through third-party systems like turnstiles and lifts.
